Website privacy & cookies
Updated 13 October 2026
This notice explains optional visitor analytics on the Blackwater Plant Training main website. For privacy questions, contact Blackwaterplanttraining@gmail.com.
Your choice
Optional analytics does not load unless it has been enabled for this website and you have accepted it.
You can use the website, contact us without accepting analytics. If analytics is enabled, the cookie controls let you accept or reject it. We store that choice locally on your device for six months.
What optional analytics measures
When enabled and accepted, Google Analytics helps us understand visitor numbers, approximate country or city, devices, referring websites and recognised campaign links. We also measure course openings, phone and email-button clicks, and opening an enquiry email draft. An email-button click does not tell us whether an email was sent. Opening a draft does not mean an enquiry was sent.
We do not send names, email messages, telephone numbers or personal histories to Analytics. We do not use it to identify visitors by name, and we disable advertising signals and advertising personalisation in our website tag. Location estimates can be inaccurate.
Cookies and Google
If you accept, Google Analytics uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_… to distinguish browsers and visits. Our tag sets a six-month cookie lifetime. Google processes device and interaction data and uses the IP address to estimate location. Google states that Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses. Data may be processed outside the UK. See how Google uses information from partner websites.
Rejecting analytics prevents our Google Analytics tag from loading. If you change from accept to reject, we stop tracking, remove accessible Analytics cookies and reload the page. This does not automatically erase data already collected. You can contact us with questions about your data or your privacy rights. You can also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Contacting us and external services
Email links open your chosen email service. Your draft is sent only when you choose to send it. Information you send to us is separate from website analytics. Our hosting provider may process technical connection information to deliver and secure the website. External websites and email services have their own privacy information.
Course enquiries
We use the name, contact details and course information you send to respond to your request and arrange training. When direct website delivery is enabled, our email delivery provider Resend passes the enquiry to our Blackwater Gmail inbox. An on-screen confirmation means our email service accepted the message; it does not confirm a course booking. When using the alternative email link, you must send the draft from your email app.
We do not add you to marketing lists from this form. Enquiry contents are not sent to Google Analytics. We may use temporary connection information to limit repeated submissions. Contact us at the address above if you have questions about how we use your enquiry or want to request deletion, subject to records we need to retain.
